Well, I have taken a bit of a punt to apply for a scarf competition to which this application is probably completely irrelevant! But I thought I would put it on here anyway, because its quite an old piece actually but managed to tweak it for this purpose!

In April of this year, I found out that I had come third place in the Bradford textile society annual competition. Ok! So this is what I have been up to this year!
In March, I found out that i had won the Zizzi fresh talent competition which meant that my menu was one of five to be distributed throughout the country! Here it is! Including the blurb that I wrote explaining my design.
It has been so exciting going out for meals with my friends and using my own menu to order from!
I have ventured back home from Leeds for two short weeks to sort out my things and get my mind together before my 6 week trip to Canada!!
I will be camping in the rocky mountains, visiting Vancouver, working on a textile producing farm on Vancouver Island, seeing Niagara Falls and Toronto and then sidling down to New York on my beloved MEGABUS!!!
I am very excited!
I am also from Friday being featured in the 2012 Print Odyssey exhibition in Norwich which is very exciting (more details to follow)!
Today is a great day! Very happy to be home, the sun is shining and the pets are being pretty cute. Just what I need! I’m heading off to the lakes tomorrow in the caravan with my parents and can’t wait for a bit of relaxation. We are visiting Beatrix Potter’s house too which should be AMAZING.
My next project is well underway, and is based around the idea of collecting. I have been looking at different collections of objects like ships in bottles and furniture and have been illustrating and printing like crazy. Hopefully some exciting new prints will come together in my mind in the next few weeks!

Walking to a party on Saturday night, we spotted a crazy shooting star in the sky that I was convinced was just a firework, but looking at BBC news the next day, it was a meteor! Amazing to think we have seen such a wonder from space!…
These photos show my end of project work including 6 fashion fabrics and a project report. I really enjoyed this project and felt like my screen printing skills improved greatly!!
